The machine features a Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention. The swing away control box, which houses an emergency stop, ensures that all controls are easily accessible to the operator. Its innovative machine base design allows for simplified leveling without needing to raise the machine off the floor. An automatic oiler delivers 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, while a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. Relocated to the back of the mill, the electrical box accommodates two 115V outlets for powered accessories and is CSA/CUS certified. The Class 7 spindle bearings provide maximum rigidity for heavy cutting applications, and the internally cooled spindle head extends the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The table and ways feature hardened surfaces up to 54 HRC and are precision ground for enhanced accuracy. Additionally, the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smoother movements. Included features are a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools.
