The Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting features enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention. The swing away control box includes an emergency stop (e-stop) and positions all controls at the operator's fingertips. Its innovative machine base design facilitates leveling without needing to elevate the unit off the floor. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, while a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power, thus preventing accidental start-ups. The electrical box is located at the back of the mill and features two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified and incorporates Class 7 spindle bearings that support the spindle for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting. Additionally, the spindle head is internally cooled to extend the lifespan of the bearing, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to minimize vibration and ensure smooth operation. The kit includes a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications feature a digital readout of Acu-Rite 200S, a three-axis quill, power feed on the X-axis, a pneumatic power drawbar, R-8 spindle taper, and a table size of 9" x 49". The quill diameter is 3-3/8", with variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 inches per revolution, and a spindle travel of 5". The head allows for movement of 90° right and left and 45° forward and backward, with a maximum distance from spindle to table of 20-3/4" and distances from spindle to column ranging from 4-3/4" to 18-1/8". The collet capacity is from 1/8" to 7/8", and the table's longitudinal travel measures 36" (30-3/4" with power feed), while the cross travel is 12-5/8". The T-slots number three with a size of 5/8", and the T-slot centers are 2-1/2".
