The Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting features enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention. The machine includes a swing away control box with an emergency stop and conveniently places all controls at the operator's fingertips. Its innovative base design allows for easier leveling without elevating the machine off the floor. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, while a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back of the mill contains two 115V outlets for powered accessories and is CSA/CUS certified. It is equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings, providing maximum rigidity for heavy cutting applications, and an internally cooled spindle head extends the life of the bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for enhanced accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated in Turcite-B to minimize vibration and promote smooth movements. This comprehensive kit also includes a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. The specifications encompass a digital readout of Acu-Rite 200S, a 3-axis knee configuration, X-axis power feed, pneumatic power draw bar, R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 9" x 49", quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 inches per revolution, a spindle travel of 5 inches, head movement capabilities of 90° right and left, and 45° front and back. The maximum distance from spindle to table is 20-3/4", while the distance from spindle to column ranges from a minimum of 4-3/4" to a maximum of 18-1/8". It accommodates collet sizes from 1/8 to 7/8 inches, a table longitudinal travel of 36 inches (30-3/4" with power feed), a table cross travel of 12-5/8", and features three T-slots measuring 5/8" with centers at 2-1/2".
