The Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing ensures rigidity and tolerance retention. The machine features a swing away control box housing an E-stop, allowing all controls to be easily accessible to the operator. Its innovative base design simplifies machine leveling without the need to lift it off the floor. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, while a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box, relocated to the back, includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories, and the machine is CSA/CUS certified. Class 7 spindle bearings provide max rigidity for heavy cutting applications, and the spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of the bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for improved accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated in Turcite-B to reduce vibration and ensure smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with included tools. The specifications include a digital readout (Acu-Rite 200S), a number of axes (2), powered feed on the X, Y, and Z axes, a spindle taper of R-8, a table size of 9" x 49", quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006, a spindle travel of 5", head movement of 90° right and left and 45° forward and backward, a maximum distance from spindle to table of 20-3/4", and a distance from spindle to column ranging from 4-3/4" to 18-1/8". The collet capacity is between 1/8" to 7/8", with a table longitudinal travel of 36" and 30-3/4" with power feed, as well as a table cross travel of 12-5/8". The work table is equipped with three T-slots measuring 5/8" each, and T-slot centers are spaced at 2-1/2". Usage of this machine is covered under warranty terms as specified by the manufacturer.
