Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. JET mills feature a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention. The swing away control box houses an E-stop and puts all controls at the operator's fingertips. An innovative machine base design provides an easier solution for leveling without raising the machine off the floor. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals, and a heavy-duty spindle brake stops the spindle and interrupts the power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box has been relocated to the back of the mill and includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories, with CSA/CUS certification. Class 7 spindle bearings support maximum rigidity during heavy cutting applications, while the spindle head is internally cooled to extend the bearing, belt, and motor life. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, and the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and toolbox with tools. Specifications include a power feed on the X-axis, spindle taper of R-8, table size of 10" x 50", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 IPR, a spindle travel of 5", and head movement of 90° right and left, and 45°. The JET two-year warranty backs all of these features.
