Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine and is backed by Jet's industry-leading two-year warranty. The features include Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator convenience, and an innovative machine base design for easy leveling. The automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, while the heavy-duty spindle break enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. Additionally, the electrical box relocated to the back of the mill includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified, equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, and features an internally cooled spindle head to extend the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements. Additional components include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a tool box with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Newall DP700, three axes (quill), power feed for the X and Y-axis, a pneumatic power draw bar, an R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10 x 50 inches, a quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, variable spindle speeds with a range from 60 to 4,500 RPM.
