Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base feature a rigid, robust design that simplifies leveling without lifting the machine. This milling machine includes a digitally controlled ACU-RITE 200S readout, power feed for X and Y-axis, and a variable speed spindle taper (R-8) with speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM. The quill diameter measures 3-3/8" with adjustable down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 IPR, and comes with a spindle head that is internally cooled to extend the life of the bearings, belt, and motor. Auxiliary features of the machine include a swing away control box with an emergency stop button, automatic oiler releasing 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for added safety, and a relocated electrical box with two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements. Other features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. The machine is CSA/CUS certified and is backed by the industry-leading JET two-year warranty.
