Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. The machine features a Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing to ensure rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box housing an E-stop, and an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals. For added safety, the heavy-duty spindle brake stops the spindle and interrupts power, preventing accidental start-ups, while the electrical box, relocated to the back of the mill, houses two 115V outlets for powered accessories. It is CSA/CUS certified and equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, with an internally cooled spindle head extending the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, and the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and tool box with tools. Specifications include a digital readout (Acu-Rite 200S), three axes (Knee), power feed for the X, Y, and Z-axis, R-8 spindle taper, 10 x 50 inch table size, 3-3/8 inch quill diameter, variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates.
