Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. This machine features a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing to ensure rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box that houses an E-stop and puts all controls at the operator's fingertips, and an innovative machine base that allows for easy leveling. It includes an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals, and for added safety, a heavy-duty spindle brake stops the spindle and interrupts power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box is located at the back of the mill and houses two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified and features class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, an internally cooled spindle head to extend bearing, belt, and motor life, and precision ground table and ways hardened up to 54 HRC for greater accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements, and additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of ACU-RITE 200S, three axes (knee), power feed for X and Y-axis, pneumatic power draw bar, R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 10 x 50 inches, a quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, variable spindle speeds, and a range of spindle speeds from 60 to 4,500 RPM.
