The JTM-1 and 2 models feature a robust three-stage power down feed with an auto stop mechanism and high precision class 7 spindle bearings, all supported by the rugged stability of Meehanite® castings. The internally cooled spindle head prevents seizing, while precision engineering ensures top-quality results. Key features include certified Meehanite® castings, a precision bored and honed milling head, a large diameter chromed quill, a heavy-duty splined motor drive, a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, and a heavy-duty spindle brake. The machine is equipped with a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox containing necessary tools. Standard equipment also includes an internal coolant tank built into the base, although a coolant pump is not included, and a tolerance test sheet. Specifications comprise a Newall DP500 digital readout, an X-axis power feed, R-8 spindle taper, a table size of 9" x 42", a quill diameter of 3-3/8", 16 spindle speeds ranging from 80 to 5,440 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 IPR, a spindle travel of 5", and head movement of 90° R & L and 45° F & B.
