The Traffix Water-Cable Barrier measures 72" (1.9 m) in length, 18" (0.46 m) in width, and 32" (0.8 m) in height, and is constructed from durable polyethylene plastic. It is MASH tested and approved for TL-1 applications at speeds of 31 MPH (50 KM/HR) and TL-2 applications at speeds of 43.5 MPH (70 KM/HR). The individual wall weighs 100 lbs (45.4 kg) when empty and 1,070 lbs (485.3 kg) when filled with water. Integrated into the wall are three (3) inch diameter stranded steel cables designed to contain an impacting vehicle during an accident. The standard colors available are orange/red and white, with options for other colors. These modules are connected using galvanized steel T-pins that go through a double wall knuckle to minimize breakage at hinge points, allowing the barrier to pivot up to 30° when connected. The Water-Cable Barrier features one (1) 8" (20.3 cm) diameter fill hole for rapid filling and a twist lock cap for secure closure. Molded fork lift slots facilitate easy movement, and a centrally located drain plug, designed with coarse buttress threads, ensures quick removal and insertion while protecting against cracking or breaking. Additionally, the Water-Cable Barriers are stackable, providing ease of movement and storage.
