The Serengeti-IR™ residential radiant infrared tube heater is a dry tube gas-fired system manufactured in the U.S. by Combustion Research, featuring a 60,000 BTU power vented system with a 3.5" OD emitter tube that operates on natural gas. This pre-engineered, gas-fired, unitary power vented (positive pressure or push-through systems) package comes in a 10-foot U-configuration, providing energy savings of 30-50% compared to conventional heating systems. Each system includes a powder coated aluminized steel burner with a 3-foot power cord and a 3 prong plug, along with standard bright finish aluminum reflectors, tube and reflector hangers, intermediate supports, heat treated aluminized steel radiant tubes, joint sealer, screws, turbulator, a stainless steel flexible gas connector with manual gas valve (U.S. only), and two reflector end caps. It is designed for use in residential garages and is also suitable for various commercial and industrial applications, such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, hangars, loading docks, workshops, fire stations, and more. The unit is CSA certified and comes with a limited warranty of one year on ignition controls and electrical components, and a ten-year warranty on radiant tubes. Installation codes dictate that Combustion Research Corp. products should be installed in accordance with local codes, laws, and regulations, performed only by an HVAC contractor qualified in gas-fired heating equipment installation and service.
