Phoenix DryRod® II Type 5 portable rod ovens are designed for increased portability, available with either wheels and a pull handle or carry handles. The oven has an electrode capacity of 50 lb (25 kg), allowing it to be filled from a large capacity storage oven to supply multiple welders with electrodes throughout the workday while ensuring that the electrodes remain moisture-free in compliance with welding code requirements. The ovens include an adjustable thermostat for temperature control tailored to electrode specifications, and an optional digital thermometer can be mounted in the oven housing for constant monitoring of the chamber temperature. Constructed from heavy gauge steel and powder coated for durability, the Type 5 features body and lid insulation to minimize heat loss and energy usage, a 10 ft cord that locks into the oven base for a secure connection, and a safety yellow color that enhances visibility in the field. The spring latch mechanism ensures the insulated lid is tightly secured during transport, making it suitable for various projects.
