The Abell-Howe® foundationless base mounted light duty jib crane (model 4L0024) has a 1000 lb. capacity and is designed specifically for light duty industrial applications that require only a 6" concrete depth. This jib crane, part of the J-904L series, necessitates the use of epoxy anchor bolts, specifically the Hilti RE-500 adhesive anchoring system, with a required embedment of 4 1/2". It offers 360-degree rotation on a tapered roller bearing, which accommodates full capacity vertical and radial thrust loading. For installation, the concrete floor must be at least 6" thick and designed with wire mesh reinforcement, supported by a minimum soil pressure of 2,500 psf and a minimum concrete compressive strength of 3,000 psi. Additionally, the jib crane must be centered on a square foot area that is free of cracks, seams, control joints, and walls.
