The Abell-Howe® foundationless base mounted light duty jib crane, model 4L0023, features a 1000 lb. capacity and is specifically designed for light duty industrial applications that require an installation depth of only 6" of concrete. This jib crane is part of the J-904L series, which necessitates the use of epoxy anchor bolts, specifically the Hilti RE-500 adhesive anchoring system with a required embedment of 4 1/2". It allows for 360-degree rotation on a tapered roller bearing, facilitating full capacity vertical and radial thrust loading. The concrete floor must be a minimum of 6" thick and include wire mesh reinforcement, with required minimum soil pressure of 2,500 PSF and a minimum concrete compressive strength of 3,000 PSI. It’s crucial that the jib crane is centered on a square foot area free of cracks, seams, control joints, and walls to ensure proper functionality and safety.
