Amt cast iron sewage/trash pumps are engineered for efficient handling of solids-laden liquids and slurries, featuring robust cast iron construction and two-vane stainless steel self-cleaning impellers. The pumps utilize silicon carbide mechanical seals for enhanced abrasion resistance and incorporate Buna-N O-rings and check valves. A built-in check valve facilitates automatic re-priming in open systems without a foot valve. Their solids handling capabilities make them suitable for various industrial applications such as sewage treatment, canneries, chemical processing, wineries, tanneries, meat packing, breweries, pulp, wood chips, process water, sludge and slime, wastewater, and white water. Designed to manage liquids containing sewage, stones, sticks, mud, and other solids, these pumps feature a reusable Buna-N O-ring casing seal post clean-out maintenance. The self-cleaning stainless steel impeller minimizes clogging and wear. Additionally, the front clean-out and pull-from-rear design allow for clean-out and repair without the need to remove piping. Key features include cast iron construction, SIC/SIC seal with Viton elastomers, stainless steel semi-open clog-resistant impeller, Buna-N check valve and O-ring, self-priming capability up to 20 ft. with a built-in check valve, removable cast iron volute/wear plate, easy clean-out design, and a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor. It is important to note that the minimum liquid requirement must be above 85% with a maximum of 15% solids to avoid damage to the pump and potential warranty voidance.
