Product Details
AMT cast iron sewage/trash pumps are engineered for efficient handling of solids-laden liquids and slurries, featuring a robust cast iron construction and equipped with two-vane stainless steel self-cleaning impellers, silicon carbide mechanical seals for enhanced abrasion resistance, and Buna-N O-rings and check valves. The integrated check valve allows for automatic re-priming in open systems without the need for a foot valve. Suitable for a diverse range of industrial applications, these pumps excel in sewage treatment, canneries, chemical processing, wineries, tanneries, meat packing, breweries, and handling of sludge and waste water, as well as other solids-laden liquids. They can easily manage liquids containing sewage, stones, sticks, and mud, while the reusable Buna-N O-ring casing seal facilitates maintenance post-clean-out. The pumps feature a self-cleaning stainless steel impeller designed to resist clogging and wear, while the pull-from-rear design allows for easy clean-out and repairs without disconnecting piping. Key features include cast iron construction, SIC/SIC seal with Viton elastomers, a stainless steel semi-open impeller that is clog-resistant, a self-priming capability up to 20 ft. with a built-in check valve, a removable cast iron volute/wear plate, and a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor. It is crucial to maintain a minimum liquid requirement above 85% with a maximum of 15% solids to prevent damage to the pump and ensure warranty compliance.
