The Forney 140 MIG welder is designed for ease of use and features a fast disconnect for quick torch changes and liner cleaning, operating on standard household 120-volt power. Suitable for a variety of applications including do-it-yourself projects, metal fabrication, maintenance and repair, farm and ranch work, and automotive tasks, this welder is equipped with a larger cabinet that accommodates 4" (1-2 lbs.) and 8" (10-11 lbs.) spools, an upgraded cast aluminum wire drive system, and a geared idler and drive roll that enhance de-spooling efficiency. The welder has dimensions of 27-1/4" x 16" x 11.63" and weighs 66 lbs. It supports MIG (GMAW) and Flux Cored (FCAW) processes, with an input power requirement of 120 volts, and an amperage range between 30-140 amps. The wire diameter range is .024" to .035", suitable for plate thicknesses from 24 ga. to 1/4". Additional features include a Euro connect torch with Tweco® style consumables, a torch wrap for organized cabling, and a torch designed with built-in strain relief for extended cable life. The duty cycle ratings are 115 amps at 19.75 volts for a 20% duty cycle, 90 amps at 18.5 volts for a 35% duty cycle, 60 amps at 21 volts for a 60% duty cycle, and 55 amps at 16.75 volts for a 100% duty cycle.
