The Jet® JTM-4VS milling machine is equipped with an Acu-Rite 200M digital readout (DRO) for the quill and powerfeeds for X, Y, and Z axes, making it ideal for cutting and shaping metal and other materials. Constructed from Meehanite casting, this machine ensures long-lasting durability. It features a 3 HP motor with a voltage of 230/460V, prewired for 230V, paired with a chrome-plated motor shaft and lower bearing support for enhanced longevity. The large-diameter quill is chromed, and the machine includes a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, precision bored and honed milling head, high-precision Class 7 spindle bearings, and an internally cooled spindle head. The heavy-duty splined motor drive provides robust performance, while the three-stage power downfeed includes an automatic stop for convenience. Additional attributes include locks on all movable surfaces, a heavy-duty spindle brake, precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included). The machine is also equipped with a one-shot lubrication system and comes complete with a tolerance test sheet, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools.
