The Jet® JTM-4VS milling machine is designed for cutting and shaping metal and other materials, featuring a robust 3 HP motor, prewired for 230V, with options for 230/460V, 3 PH operation. The machine is constructed from Meehanite casting, ensuring long-lasting durability, and includes a chrome-plated motor shaft supported by a lower bearing. It boasts a large diameter chromed quill, a precision bored and honed milling head, and high-precision Class 7 spindle bearings. The internally cooled spindle head enhances performance, while the heavy-duty splined motor drive provides reliable torque. Users will benefit from a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, locks on all movable surfaces, and a heavy-duty spindle brake. The precision hardened and ground ways and table, along with adjustable gibs throughout, ensure accurate machining. Additionally, an internal coolant tank is built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included), and a one-shot lubrication system simplifies maintenance. The kit includes a tolerance test sheet, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox equipped with essential tools.
