3M™ Scotch® 897 Filament Tape is a 3/4" x 60 yds. tape with a thickness of 5 mil, packaged with 48 rolls per case. This medium-duty, high-strength tape is designed with an adhesive that offers good initial adhesion and maintains its hold with minimal rub-down, making it suitable for various bundling and reinforcing applications. The combination of a strong backing, glass yarn filaments, and synthetic rubber adhesive provides high tensile and shear strength, allowing it to bond easily to most fiberboard, plastics, and metal surfaces. The tape is resistant to nicks, abrasions, moisture, and scuffing, and its transparent design allows for clear visibility of box graphics, printing, and illustrations. Recommended applications include carpet bundling, strapping, box reinforcing and closing, and general packaging.
