3M™ Scotch® 8981 filament tape measures 3/4" x 60 yds. and has a thickness of 6.6 mil, packaged in a case containing 48 rolls. This tape features increased tensile strength, making it an effective solution for bundling pipes or reinforcing large bulk containers. Constructed with clear, filament-reinforced polypropylene backing, it is resistant to abrasion, moisture, scuffs, and breaks, maintaining its integrity even if nicked or punctured. The multi-layer synthetic rubber adhesive system prevents delamination, while the synthetic adhesive provides strong bonding capabilities to various surfaces typically used in packaging, including corrugated cardboard, fiberboard, plastic, and metals. Recommended applications encompass metal and pipe bundling, high-strength reinforcing, and heavy-duty strapping. Additionally, the industrial-strength tape incorporates glass yarn filaments to enhance its strength for tasks such as box closing and bundling.
