3M™ Scotch® 893 Filament Tape measures 1/2" x 60 yds and features a thickness of 6 mil, with 72 rolls per case. This tape provides an excellent solution for metal splicing, rebar and pipe bundling, or reinforcing large bulk containers. Its filament-reinforced construction includes a clear polypropylene backing that resists abrasion, moisture, scuffing, and breaks, even if nicked or punctured. With increased tensile strength, it is ideal for a variety of applications such as reinforcing, strapping, and bundling. The tape dispenses easily without curling for straightforward application, and its multi-layer synthetic-rubber adhesive system prevents delamination. This synthetic adhesive bonds well to a variety of surfaces commonly used in packaging, including corrugated cardboard, fiberboard, plastic, and metals. Recommended applications include high-strength reinforcing, heavy-duty strapping, sealing and palletizing cartons, securing boxes, metal splicing, coil tabbing, and metal and pipe bundling. The tape's high strength, filament-reinforced design helps it resist nicks, abrasion, and moisture, while the glass yarn filaments enhance its strength for box closing and bundling, making it suitable for withstanding rough shipping and handling conditions.
