3M™ Tartan™ 8934 Filament Tape measures 1/2" x 60 yds. and has a thickness of 4 mil, available in a package containing 72 rolls per case. This general purpose clear fiberglass-reinforced tape features a synthetic rubber resin adhesive that allows for effective bonding to most fiberboard surfaces as well as various plastics and metal surfaces. It is designed for light duty applications such as box closing, strapping, palletizing, and general bundling, offering good initial adhesion with minimal rub-down required. The tape’s tough, clear film backing is resistant to abrasion and moisture, ensuring good aging and long-lasting closure for boxes. Its composition provides high tensile and shear strength while maintaining clarity for visibility of printed materials through the tape. The combined properties of the backing, filaments, and adhesive make it suitable for utility bundling, reinforcing, and pallet unitizing applications, while also resisting nicks and scuffing.
