The 3M™ 465 adhesive transfer tape measures 3 inches by 60 yards and has a thickness of 2 mil, packaged as 12 rolls per case. This high-tack adhesive tape features an aggressive bond that adheres on contact, making it ideal for splicing foils, fabrics, films, and papers. It boasts high UV, humidity, and moisture resistance, alongside good solvent resistance, ensuring its reliability in challenging work environments. The tape is backed by a robust 60 lb. densified kraft paper release liner, allowing for dependable performance in industrial applications, including die-cutting and automated dispensers. The adhesive bonds a wide variety of substrates, such as metal, glass, wood, paper, paint, and many plastics. It can provide consistently strong bonds in temperatures of up to 250° F (121° C) and features an aggressive acrylic adhesive that bonds on contact. Typical applications include high-speed flying splices and zero-speed splices on various grades of paper, splicing foils, films, and fabrics, laminating adhesive for foams and photos, attaching metal and plastic nameplates, mounting promotional items and posters, and core starting.
