Polyester web slings are particularly suited for environments where exposure to acids is common and minimal stretch is necessary, as they are unaffected by most acids and bleaching agents. However, it is important to note that polyester is not suitable for use in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid or alkaline conditions. Additionally, the material is not recommended for temperatures exceeding 194°F. When operating at the rated capacity, polyester web slings exhibit approximately 3% stretch.
