The Prolube 46044 consists of a 5 pack of 1/8" -27 pipe thread (PTF-special short) grease fittings, designed at a 90° angle. These fittings are manufactured to stringent quality standards and are TS16949 approved. The dimensions and fitting profile are accurately controlled to conform to SAE, DIN, BS, JIS, and IS standards. Each grease fitting is heat treated to meet SAE J534 specifications, achieving a hardness of a minimum of 83 on the Rockwell 15N scale, with a case depth ranging from 0.005" (0.13 mm) to 0.009" (0.23 mm). Constructed from steel, the fittings are plated in yellow zinc with a plating thickness of 0.0002" (5 microns), also adhering to SAE J534 specifications, and are guaranteed to withstand over 72 hours of salt spray testing without developing red rust.
