Product Details
The AC gearmotor features a parallel shaft design with a power rating of 1/4 HP, operating at 59 RPM and a gear ratio of 29 to 1. It supports an overhung load of 625 pounds and provides a full load torque of 248 lb. in. The motor is housed in a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure with a 48Y frame and is rated for 115/208-230V, 1PH, 60Hz, with nameplate amps of 5.4. Designed for continuous duty in general-purpose applications, this fractional horsepower AC gearmotor has a rugged aluminum die-cast housing for maximum gear and bearing support, with precision machined gearing that is hardened for optimal load capability. The gearing is designed to AGMA class 9 standards, capable of withstanding momentary shock overloads of 200%. Enhanced overhung load capacity is achieved through oversized output bearings, while a high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength and rigidity. All needle bearing journals are precision ground after heat treating to provide superior finish and fit, and heavy-duty industrial oil seals prevent lubricant loss and dirt ingress. The gearing and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil. The gearmotor can be mounted at any angle, although shaft-up mounting with the motor below the gearhead is not advised. The P1100 AC gearmotors have compatible mounting dimensions with Bison 482 gearmotors and many Dayton gearmotors, and the unit includes a conduit box. Compatibility is also noted with Bison part number 014-482-4029 (using a Leeson motor with a capacitor start/induction run design) and Grainger/Dayton part number 6K.
