The AC gearmotor features a right-angle shaft and offers a power output of 1/6 HP at 43 RPM with a gear ratio of 40 to 1, capable of handling an overhung load of 235 pounds and providing a full load torque of 113 lb. in. It is equipped with a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure, a 38 frame, and operates at 115/230V with a single phase, drawing 2 amps as per the name plate specifications. The worm-type right-angle gearing incorporates a hardened steel worm paired with a bronze worm wheel, ensuring longevity and quiet operation. Precision machined aluminum housings and gearboxes contain all ball bearings, while the sealed housing features permanent lubrication via an oil bath. The output shaft can be interchanged between left hand and right hand styles. These gearmotors are designed for continuous duty in general purpose applications, utilizing permanent split capacitor motors rated for 115/230 VAC at 60/50 Hertz with starting torque equal to running torque. A lubrication breather is positioned for optimal seal life during horizontal mounting; for other orientations, it requires adjustment using a 90-degree 1/8 NPT taper pipe elbow, with a caution against mounting the motor below the gearhead. Overhung load capacities are measured at the center of the output shaft, and the motors are provided with continuous duty run capacity. Note that a conduit box is not included with the motor. Compatibility with Baldor GC25020 is specified, though Leeson base mounting holes are not a drop-in replacement, as Leeson motors are dual voltage rated at 115/230 and feature a single output shaft.
