The kit includes a high security key lock with two keys, located on the top drawer for immediate access to all drawers. If desired, a lock-bypass mechanism allows selected drawers to remain unlocked while others stay locked. These cabinets are fire rated for 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for documents and paper, having been tested at 1700 degrees Fahrenheit and explosion tested at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, meeting industry standards for fire protection. They are impact rated, tested by dropping the cabinet 30 feet onto concrete rubble and reheating it in a fire, simulating actual conditions during a fire when floors may give way. The cabinets are also designed to be water resistant using the Phoenix labyrinth sealing system and special gaskets, preventing water damage from fire hose spray or sprinklers. Additionally, they provide digital protection for computer storage devices such as CDs, DVDs, USB drives, and memory sticks/cards. Each drawer features a rugged three-way suspension system for stability and ease of movement, even when fully loaded, and each drawer acts as a separate insulated container with an inner steel jacket to contain insulation and prevent fire from spreading if one drawer is accidentally left open, also protecting against accidental damage. The cabinets are shallower by six inches than standard 31-inch deep cabinets, optimizing space without compromising on safety and durability.
