The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specially configured for North American fast charging systems, featuring AWG/mm contacts and tooling. It includes provisions for up to 4 auxiliary contacts and can be used for battery monitoring and charging. The design incorporates low mating forces, allowing connectors to be mated and unmated without the necessity of added hardware. A hexagonal voltage key is included for 24, 36, 48, 72, 80, and 96V, which prevents the mating of different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are designed for American Wire Gauge cable and adhere to MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-standard DIN43589.
