The kit includes single piece housings made of impact resistant polycarbonate and features silver plated solid copper contacts along with a self-cleaning contact design that resists arcing. The contacts are equipped with flared and heat-treated barrels, enabling them to readily accept fine stranded wire for a consistent connection. Mechanical keys in the housing prevent the mating of different color connectors, which helps avoid mismatching of voltages. Integral stainless steel springs maintain constant pressure on the contacts to ensure a consistent, low resistance connection.
