As part of Makita's extensive 18V lithium-ion series, this tool is compatible with other Makita® 18V LXT® cordless tools, and the Makita® lithium-ion batteries are known for their fast charge times, allowing for maximum productivity. The tool is also equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, which facilitate real-time communication between the tool and battery to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The XRJ06Z can be powered by any Makita® 18V LXT® and compact lithium-ion batteries that feature the Star symbol, indicating the presence of Star Protection technology.
