The Makita 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless Recipro Saw Kit features an electronically-controlled BL™ brushless motor that optimizes torque and RPM for various applications, powered by the fast-charging 18V Lithium-Ion batteries. The kit includes the XRJ05T reciprocal saw with a 1-1/4" stroke length for enhanced cutting efficiency, a refined crank mechanism to reduce blade deflection and vibration, an L.E.D. light for illuminating the cutting line, a retractable tool hook, and a "tool-less" blade change system for quick blade installation and removal. This saw is part of Makita's extensive 18V Lithium-Ion system, which is the largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. The Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries feature some of the fastest charge times, allowing for more productive use. The kit also incorporates Star Protection Computer Controls™, a technology that enables real-time communication between the equipped tool and battery to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The tool can be powered by any Makita® 18V LXT® and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries marked with the star symbol indicating Star Protection.
