Tripp Lite's SMART500RT1U intelligent, line interactive rack/tower uninterruptible power supply is designed to prevent data loss, downtime, and equipment damage from power outages, voltage fluctuations, and transient surges. It requires only one rack space (1U) in a 2 or 4 post rack and includes accessories for upright tower placement. The unit features large internal batteries providing 8 minutes of runtime at half load and 3 minutes at full load, while maintaining a regulated 120V nominal output during brownouts as low as 90V. With a power handling capability of 500VA/300 watts, it is suitable for networking, telecom, and other sensitive electronic applications. The UPS includes six outlets for UPS support, with one outlet offering individual control for rebooting select equipment on demand or shedding less critical loads to extend battery runtime. Additionally, it has one surge-only outlet for peripherals that do not require battery backup, and supports simultaneous remote monitoring of UPS and site power conditions via built-in USB and DB9 monitoring ports. The product comes with PowerAlert UPS monitoring and unattended shutdown software, complete cabling, and includes a built-in accessory slot for SNMP with optional SNMPWEBCARD adapter. An Emergency Power Off (EPO) interface allows for instantaneous power-off of the UPS and connected equipment in emergencies. Multi-function audible alarms, along with a set of five front panel LEDs, provide instant notification of UPS and line power status. The unit offers network-grade AC surge suppression to protect equipment from transient surges and line noise, and features an attractive all-black color scheme. It is backed by a two-year limited warranty and includes $250,000 connected equipment insurance (USA & Canada only), with battery-derived sine wave AC output during power outages and voltage regulation during brownouts.
