The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for legal documents and features seven shelves in a sleek black finish. This innovative rotary file cabinet maximizes efficiency by providing a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that accommodates more than double the files of traditional systems while allowing for quick access to stored materials. The specifications include a base formed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section that runs the full length and width of the base. The structure is reinforced with 11 gauge steel gussets at each corner, ensuring stability and support for the cabinet's weight. Four adjustable leveling feet allow for easy leveling of the base. The cabinet utilizes a 90° indexing mechanism that does not require a foot pedal. Each unit is equipped with four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, secured with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post, and dual durometer PVC closing strips. A lock assembly and locking rod are located on the right front post, featuring a durable lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod and field-removable cores for convenient key changes. Locks can be installed on either side of the unit, allowing it to be locked in both open and closed positions. The rotary bottom operates smoothly on a 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearing system, with the letter size unit having a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit comprises a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings, pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin and a mating steel component.
