The kit features heavy-duty geometry designed for drilling tougher materials by hand or machine, with shorter flutes and an overall length that enhances rigidity to minimize deflection during heavy feed rates. It is manufactured from premium cobalt high-speed steel, and the 135° split point design is self-centering, allowing for reduced thrust and easier penetration; however, sizes under .0625 do not include a split point. The drills have a straw oxide finish that increases lubricity while minimizing galling and welding, in addition to providing easy identification of cobalt. This kit is suitable for drilling in alloy and carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and tool steel. It is made in the USA and comes in a pack of 12, backed by a 30-day warranty.
