Federal Signal's Model 27XST explosion-proof strobe light produces 80 high-intensity flashes per minute and operates on 24VDC. The 27XST is UL listed for Class I, Division 1, Groups C & D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F & G; Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B; and Class III. It is also CSA certified and marine rated, featuring a voltage in-rush limiting PCB design that enhances compatibility with factory automation control systems and reduces electrical interference with in-rush sensitive devices. The unit is Type 4X rated and constructed to IP66, while corrosion resistance is ensured through a powder epoxy finish applied over a copper-free aluminum housing. All exposed hardware is made of 316 grade stainless steel. The Model 27XST has an effective candela (ECP) of 850 and a peak candela of two million. A pendant mount is included, with options for a ceiling mount and a 90° wall mount. The mounting procedure facilitates easy installation via a mounting box, with electrical continuity achieved upon engaging five threads. The Model 27XST is specifically designed for explosion-proof atmospheres and corrosive environments, making it suitable for use in oil rigs, mines, refineries, and chemical plants.
