Federal Signal's Model 27XST explosion-proof strobe light produces 80 high-intensity flashes per minute and operates on 120VAC. The light is UL listed for Class I, Division 1, Groups C & D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F & G; Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B; and Class III. It is CSA certified and marine rated, with a Type 4X rating and constructed to IP66. Corrosion resistance is achieved through a powder epoxy finish applied over the copper-free aluminum housing, while all exposed hardware is made of 316 grade stainless steel. The Model 27XST has an effective candela (ECP) of 850 and a peak candela of two million. The kit includes a pendant mount, with ceiling mount and 90° wall mount options available. For installation, the mounting box is first attached, and the fixture threads onto it to ensure electrical continuity when five threads are engaged. This model is designed for explosion-proof atmospheres and/or corrosive environments, making it suitable for areas such as oil rigs, mines, refineries, and chemical plants.
