Federal Signal's Model 27XST explosion-proof strobe light produces 80 high-intensity flashes per minute and operates on 120VAC. It is UL listed for Class I, Division 1, Groups C & D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F & G; Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B; and Class III, and is also CSA certified and marine rated. The light is Type 4X rated and constructed to IP66, with a powder epoxy finish for corrosion resistance applied over a copper-free aluminum housing. All exposed hardware is made from 316 grade stainless steel. The Model 27XST has an effective candela (ECP) of 850 and a peak candela of two million. A pendant mount is included, while a ceiling mount and 90° wall mount are available as options. For easy installation, the mounting box is first attached, and the fixture is then threaded onto the mounting box to establish an electrical connection when five threads are engaged. The Model 27XST is specifically designed for explosion-proof atmospheres and corrosive environments, making it suitable for use in oil rigs, mines, refineries, and chemical plants.
