Federal Signal's model 27XST explosion-proof strobe light produces 80 high-intensity flashes per minute and operates on 120VAC. It is UL listed for Class I, Division 1, Groups C & D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F & G; Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B; and Class III, and is also CSA certified and marine rated. The light is Type 4X rated and constructed to IP66 for protection against dust and water ingress. Corrosion resistance is achieved through a powder epoxy finish applied over a copper-free aluminum housing, with all exposed hardware made from 316 grade stainless steel. It has an effective candela (ECP) of 850 and a two million peak candela. The kit includes a pendant mount, while ceiling mount and 90° wall mount options are available. For easy installation, the mounting box is first installed, and then the fixture is threaded onto the mounting box, ensuring electrical continuity when five threads are engaged. Specifically designed for explosion-proof atmospheres and/or corrosive environments, the 27XST is ideal for use in areas such as oil rigs, mines, refineries, and chemical plants, due to its low maintenance requirements.
