Disposable sterile cellulose acetate hydrophilic filtration media syringe filters are individually blister packed and feature Luer-Lok™ and pressure fitting. They are ultrasonically bonded for reliability, and the filter media type is clearly inscribed on the barrel. These filters offer excellent unit-to-unit and lot-to-lot reproducibility and consistency, along with a unique concentric funnel-shaped barrel that increases volume while decreasing back pressure. With very low binding capacity for proteins, cellulose acetate is nitrate-free, making it suitable for groundwater and EPA ASTM's. These filters can be used for filtration under sterile conditions, filtering and clarifying biological fluids, sterilization of media additives, and serum and sample preparation of aqueous or protein-based HPLC solutions. They are designed to sterilize and remove particulates from even the most viscous proteinaceous samples and are recommended for use with a glass fiber prefilter to filter tissue culture media.
