Product Details
The MCE membrane filters are made from biologically inert mixtures of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate, resulting in membranes that feature a smoother and more uniform surface compared to traditional nitrocellulose filters. These MCE membranes are easier to handle and exhibit lower susceptibility to cracking and fracturing. They have a pure surface without any additional smoothing treatments or surfactants. The non-sterile version is bright white with an accurate pore structure and highly regulated density, ensuring precision in applications. They provide medium-fast flow rates and a reproducible loading capacity, while clean-edge processing allows for easy separation from stacks and minimizes curl. The membranes are autoclavable and suitable for various applications including clarification or sterilization of aqueous solutions, cytology, concentration of yeast, mold, and viruses, HPLC sample preparation, OSHA particle analysis, and food and beverage microbiological QA/QC. MCE membranes are recognized as the standard for microbiological growth and colony counting methods.
