The 500ml filters feature an expanded 90mm diameter membrane designed to increase flow and reduce clogs, resulting in faster filtration. They come with easy-to-read molded graduation marks on the bottle top filter, and bold printed membrane and pore size information for straightforward identification. The curved bottle design allows for easy handling, while each bottle top is marked with a printed lot number and expiration date. The improved filter support ensures faster flow rates, and the angled hose barb adapter accommodates three different hose diameters and prevents the filter from tipping. The filters utilize a polyethersulfone (PES) membrane, which is recognized for its high flow and low binding properties: a 0.10µm PES membrane is ideal for mycoplasma removal, a 0.22µm PES membrane is recommended for sterile filtration of cell culture media, and a 0.45µm PES membrane is suitable for solution clarification. Additionally, the filter systems include a bottle top filter and a solution bottle with a cap, though the bottle top filter is available for purchase separately.
