The 500ml filters are designed with an expanded 90mm diameter membrane that enhances flow and minimizes clogs for quicker filtration. Each filter features easy-to-read molded graduation marks on the bottle top, along with bold printed membrane and pore size for straightforward identification. Every bottle top is marked with a printed lot number and expiration date to ensure traceability. The improved filter support allows for faster flow rates, while the angled hose barb adapter accommodates three different hose diameters and helps prevent the filter from tipping. The polyethersulfone (PES) membrane offers high flow and low binding characteristics, with a 0.22 μm PES membrane being the preferred option for sterile filtration of cell culture media and a 0.45 μm PES membrane suitable for solution clarification. Additionally, the nylon (PA) membrane provides excellent chemical compatibility and does not require pre-wetting. These bottle top filters are compatible with CELLTREAT® solution bottles or other standard 45mm threaded solution storage bottles; however, solution bottles are not included in the package.
