The 8161-Series cylindrical ball knob adheres to ANSI-A 156.2, Series 4000, Grade 1, and UL Federal Specification FF-H-106C. The lock housing and chassis are constructed from cold rolled steel featuring a zinc dichromate finish for enhanced corrosion resistance. It requires a standard 2 1/8" (53.97mm) bore through the door, with a backset of 2-3/4" and is designed for door thicknesses ranging from 1-3/8" to 2". The latch is a brass 1/2" throw, UL-fire rated for 3-hour doors, and includes a guarded latchbolt across all locking functions. The latch front measures 1-1/8" x 2-1/4" for a 2-3/4" backset, while the strike is sized at 4-7/8" A.S.A. The cylinder is a solid brass 6 pin keyed 5, compatible with SC-1 or #1145 or AR-1 keyways, and locks are designed to accept LORI plugs. Each lock includes 2 keys and is non-handed. The available finishes include US32D, with available functions being entrance and passage. The trim features a knob with a diameter of 2-1/4" and a rose measuring 3" in diameter, both in a stainless steel finish.
