PowerWeld® ER70S-6 MIG welding wire is an AWS A5.18 copper coated product with a diameter of .035" and comes in a 44lb spool. This wire features high levels of manganese and silicon, enhancing its deoxidizing power when stringent cleaning procedures are not feasible. It has been specifically designed to deliver x-ray quality, porosity-free welds with the highest tensile strength of the plain carbon steel wires. The increased silicon content improves the fluidity of the weld pool, resulting in a smoother bead appearance and minimal post-weld grinding. Additionally, ER70S-6 is particularly effective for use in situations involving poor fit-ups or when welding rusty and oily plates is necessary.
