Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 2-1/2 inches by 6 inches with NPT male ends. The nipples are produced from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230, which provides superior machining capabilities and enhanced resistance to brittleness and corrosion compared to yellow brass, thus preventing dezincification. This brass composition offers good corrosion resistance against water and heat, as well as resistance to saltwater, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water.
