The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 6 x 5-1/2 and features NPT male threading. Made from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230, these brass nipples are designed for superior machinability, reduced brittleness, and enhanced corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, which can dezincify. The brass composition offers excellent corrosion resistance against water and heat, as well as protection from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils. This product is primarily utilized in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, but is also suitable for use in oil, gas, and steam applications.
