Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple 1-1/2 x 12 NPT Male is made from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230, which offers enhanced machinability, reduced brittleness, and superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezinctify. This brass nipple provides good corrosion resistance from water and heat while resisting attacks from salt water, acids, and minerals found in peaty soils. It is primarily utilized in commercial plumbing and OEM applications for water, but is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
